As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Sales and Tailoring Assistant to join our dynamic team on Savile Row.
Role Overview: We are seeking a personable, highly motivated Sales and Tailoring Assistant who can help drive sales across our Bespoke, Made to Measure, and Ready to Wear offerings. This role offers the opportunity to help with the general running of the workshop and having hands-on involvement in the behind-the-scenes process. You will be working closely alongside our head cutter and undercutter to ensure that customer deadlines are being met as well as playing a pivotal role in leading sales across all our services. This role is central to the client experience at Norton & Sons and will involve building lasting relationships with new and existing customers while maintaining the exceptional client experience we are known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue and achieve monthly sales targets across all our available service offerings.
- Deliver a personalised client service, offering expert guidance across Bespoke, Made to Measure, and Ready to Wear.
- Follow through on all sales with detailed clientelling, proactive communication (including email outreach) and a positive sales attitude, highlighting the signature Norton & Sons bespoke style.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, including outreach about seasonal collections, cloth options, trunk shows and appointments.
- Work with our head of marketing to create newsletters and marketing ideas for successful future campaigns.
- Build long-term relationships with clients through thoughtful follow-ups and a genuine understanding of their preferences and history with Norton & Sons.
- Maintain detailed client records using our online system to support ongoing service and re-engagement.
In-Store Operations:
- Support day-to-day operations on the shop floor including fittings, consultations, answering phone enquiries and undertaking general administrative duties.
- Reporting to the store manager and working closely with the team, supporting across a variety of tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with merchandising, stock management, and general upkeep of the showroom.
- Provide feedback on product performance and customer preferences to inform future product development.
- Undertake our U.S. trunk shows when needed, representing the brand and securing sales opportunities for our large clientele in the states as well as growing business.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong experience in sales with a track record of building excellent client relationships and driving business.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence in managing client relationships with discretion, warmth, and professionalism.
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to the US as part of our trunk shows.
- Availability to work Saturdays as part of the regular weekly schedule.
- Any experience within the tailoring industry, whether that be sewing, cutting or taking client measurements is preferred.
