Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a Tax Senior Manager/Manager to undertake a mixed role across Partnership tax matters. This is an opportunity to join a fantastic team of tax and accounting professionals based in London, working across territories in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia (\"EMEAPAC\"). The team provides tax advisory and compliance services to the firm and assists with all Partner tax and financial matters. Partner Affairs and Tax has a strong, supportive culture with training and development at its core, aligned with our continuous improvement philosophy.

Role Overview

The role reports to the Head of Partner Affairs and involves partnership tax, partner tax, international tax, and corporate tax issues. It is suited for someone with strong compliance and operational skills, with flexibility and a \'hands-on\' approach, especially during busy periods.

Responsibilities

  1. Preparation and review of partnership profit sharing calculations and tax reserving calculations
  2. UK Partnership tax computation
  3. Corporation Tax computations for UK corporate entities
  4. Year-end tax work
  5. Reconciliation of Partner Tax Reserve balances
  6. Involvement in the UK Tax Return Process
  7. Managing tax equalisation arrangements
  8. Handling international tax issues such as overseas territories, double taxation relief claims, transfer pricing, withholding taxes
  9. Supporting local finance teams with tax filings and audits
  10. Assisting with Country By Country Reporting
  11. Addressing ad hoc queries
  12. Supporting advisory and project work
  13. Reviewing and improving processes

Qualifications and Skills

  • Desirable: CTA (or overseas equivalent) / ATT
  • Practical experience in UK Partnership tax within a professional services environment
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Self-review, discipline, and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong numeric skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload under pressure
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., INDEX MATCH, Pivot tables)

Additional Skills and Experience

  • Personal Tax experience, including UK partner returns
  • International tax experience
  • Experience with Partner tax provisioning
