Practice Group / Department: Financial Controller – Newcastle Job Description The role is based in our Newcastle office and is suitable for a qualified accountant experienced in intercompany accounting within a multinational group, who enjoys project-based work. Reporting to the Financial Controller and part of a team of five financial accountants, the role involves delivering an intercompany reconciliation and data cleanse project across EMEA’s 18 offices, with opportunities to participate in other projects. The work involves addressing longstanding intercompany balance issues, managing tax risks, and preparing for a new finance system implementation. Key Responsibilities Reconciling intercompany balances across all EMEA offices Analyzing, managing, and resolving mismatches Posting journals to reconcile and clear balances Developing reporting structures to track progress Settling intercompany balances via cash transfers or internal banking Implementing new intercompany accounting approaches and addressing arising issues Additional involvement in other projects may be available.
