The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure and systems for storage, processing, and analysis. They will build and manage data pipelines that enable efficient data integration, transformation, and delivery across the enterprise.
- Design and develop data pipelines to extract data from various sources, transform it, and load into storage systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to optimize models and ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Integrate data from databases, warehouses, APIs, and external systems.
- Ensure data integrity through validation and cleaning during integration.
- Transform raw data into usable formats via cleansing, aggregation, filtering, and enrichment.
- Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Monitor and tune data systems, resolve performance issues, and implement caching and indexing strategies.
- Implement data quality checks within pipelines to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Take responsibility for leveraging enterprise data assets and supporting analytics for decision-making and automation.
- Work with leadership to establish data management vision and governance policies.
Qualifications include a bachelor\’s degree in a relevant field, at least six years of experience in data management disciplines, proven project experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, and expertise in technologies such as Apache Kafka, Airflow, Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C/C++, and familiarity with SQL, R, SAS, or Excel are required. Candidates should have experience with modern data architectures and databases, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
