The Role
This role is part of the Commercial Finance and Revenue Operations function in the EMEAPAC Group Finance team. It focuses on developing and implementing pricing strategies for AI‑augmented legal services, supporting partners and fee‑earners across EMEAPAC, and embedding pricing capability within the firm. The successful candidate will be a seasoned pricing professional with strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross‑functionally develop and implement consistent pricing strategies for AI‑augmented legal services, ensuring efficiency gains are monetised without eroding trust.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, client expectations and AI tool impacts on service delivery costs.
- Support partners in pricing complex transactions across EMEAPAC, including GenAI‑driven matters and value‑based pricing, ensuring governance and consistency with the firm’s framework.
- Build pricing guidance and training for fee‑earners, helping them price AI‑augmented services without defaulting to straight discounts and articulating value in AI matters.
- Promote pricing discipline through presentations to key stakeholders and encourage adoption of firm tools to develop profitable pricing approaches.
- Maintain strong relationships with Business Development leads to establish policies needed for effective pricing management of transactions, bids and panel appointments.
- Provide advice to stakeholders on improving matter financial performance through post‑matter financial analysis, pricing and business information.
- Collaborate on ad‑hoc commercial and pricing initiatives as required by senior finance leadership.
Key Skills And Experience
- Essential: Minimum of 5 years relevant pricing experience; preference for legal or wider professional services pricing.
- Experience pricing services where technology materially alters delivery economics and ability to articulate value to clients.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the confidence to convey finance perspectives.
- Time‑management ability to handle conflicting deliverables under pressure.
- Soft skills for influencing senior stakeholders and negotiating outcomes.
