Our Newcastle office is currently looking for a talented and ambitious Social Media & Marketing Executive to join our growing team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing executive who wants to join a growing marketing team within a professional services environment looking to gain experience across different work streams. You will be responsible for digital content review and improvement across our website and email marketing, as well as the day-to-day management of our social media channels – including drafting impactful and engaging content, planning campaigns, creating reports and analyzing data to measure success. Additionally, you will also help promote the use of LinkedIn throughout the firm and help our lawyers use it as an effective marketing channel.

In this role you will be required to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Your ability to think strategically about engaging various audiences, fulfilling project objectives whilst simultaneously being detail oriented is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating, curating and improving digital content, including website content, email marketing (including invites) and social media
  • Planning, managing and executing key social media campaigns, that align with business objectives
  • Managing social media requests daily to ensure messaging is in line with global and regional guidelines; consistent with the brand; and well written both for impact and interest
  • Working closely with our marketing services team and other region representatives to manage scheduling of posts
  • Writing high-quality content tailored towards different audiences
  • Tracking performance metrics such as followership growth, engagement, website traffic etc. and leveraging insights and analysis to optimize campaigns
  • Developing strategies for increasing organic reach across different channels
  • Contributing to best practice guides
  • Participating in training sessions with fee earners and other stakeholders
  • Managing expectations and relationships with stakeholders

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts and running successful campaigns across different platforms
  • Proven track record of successful digital campaign management, preferably within a B2B environment
  • Substantial knowledge of current digital marketing practices & emerging trends within the industry
  • Experience creating content calendars; driving plans that align with wider business goals & objectives
  • Excellent copywriting skills; capable of writing high-quality content tailored towards different users or audiences
  • A creative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Familiarity with reporting formats & metrics interpretation
  • Previous experience of social media management tools e.g. Hootsuite would be an advantage but not essential
  • An interest in legal topics would be advantageous but not essential
