The Team
Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to support the implementation of varied IT projects across our offices in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia (EMEA). The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to analyse and implement applications that support core business processes.
The Lead Business Analyst will oversee a team of Business Analysts, working alongside/supporting them to ensure the successful delivery of our annual IT change portfolio. Additionally, the team will provide ad hoc analytical support for strategic decision-making, including the development of business cases and financial data models.
The Role:
- Project Implementation: Providing input at key points in our software delivery lifecycle such as:
- Create business requirements documentation
- Map as-is and to-be business processes
- Analyse how system changes will impact these processes
- Establish new ways of working with support teams and ensuring these are documented
- Gather data from various sources and create dashboards
- Create business cases by assessing the cost/effort and value
- Model different scenarios based on potential decision paths
- Assess various vendor solutions and their applicability to the use case making impartial data led recommendations
- Manage new software requests to IT and ensuring the appropriate delivery teams are involved
- Provide support to Business Analysts
- Ensure there is consistency in the team’s output
- Collaborate with other team leads to prioritise workload
- Support and mentor BA through apprenticeship programme
- Adopt new technology to enhance the BA team
- Understand industry evolutions and bring new ideas to the wider team
- Identify new ways the BA team can enhance the IT department's ability to deliver projects and/or service provided to the wider business
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience leading functional technology teams, especially in business analysis
- Strong and articulate communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders
- Good problem solver with a logical and methodical approach
- Self-motivated learner that is curious to expand their own knowledge
- Experience in large scale IT projects including systems integration and change management
- Understanding of project management methodologies, architectural frameworks and key ITIL disciplines
- Experience with data modelling tools such as PowerBI
