This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who wishes to be part of a progressive, proactive and customer‑centric team. The successful candidate will play an integral part of driving forward the continuous improvement agenda for the Commercial Finance and Revenue Operations function and its collaboration with other business support professionals. You will be an experienced pricing professional, with strong communication and soft skills, able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders alike. This role will shape and embed the firm’s pricing capability for complex legal matters, including technology and GenAI delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Work cross‑functionally to develop and implement consistent pricing strategies for AI‑augmented legal services, monitoring market trends and client expectations.
- Support partners in pricing complex transactions across EMEAPAC, including GenAI‑driven matters, AFAs and value‑based pricing, ensuring governance and consistency with the established framework.
- Build pricing guidance and training for fee‑earners, helping them to price AI‑augmented services without defaulting to straight discounts and articulating value in AI matters.
- Support pricing team promotional efforts including presentations to key stakeholders to increase internal adoption of pricing discipline and integrate AI tools into pricing processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with other support functions, particularly Business Development leads, to establish and manage policies for effective pricing of transactions, bids and panel appointments.
- Provide advice to stakeholders on improving matter financial performance through post‑matter financial analysis and related pricing information.
- Collaborate on ad‑hoc commercial and pricing initiatives as required by the London‑based Finance Director, Head of Finance Decision Support or Senior Pricing Manager.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years relevant pricing experience; preference for legal or wider professional services pricing experience.
- Experience pricing services where technology materially alters delivery economics and ability to articulate value to clients credibly.
- Strong commercial acumen and exceptional analysis and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong personality to advocate Finance perspectives.
- Excellent time‑management skills, able to manage conflicting deliverables under pressure.
- Strong soft skills, including influence and negotiation with senior stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and internal training experience.
- Hardworking, dedicated and ambitious to grow professionally.
- Collaborative team‑player with transparency and a straightforward approach, experienced with cross‑functional teams.
