The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our Quality Centre of Excellence team. This role is critical in supporting our vehicle preparation, maintenance, and quality assessment activities across our motorcycle fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are prepared to the highest standard, carrying out routine servicing and repairs, and supporting the evaluation and assessment of motorcycles to maintain quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare motorcycles to the required quality standards for testing and evaluation.
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across the vehicle fleet.
- Perform engine strip-downs, rebuilds, and component inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions.
- Support vehicle quality assessments and inspections.
- Maintain accurate service, repair, and inspection records.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality team to continuously improve vehicle reliability and performance.
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a motorcycle mechanic or vehicle technician working with motorcycles.
- Strong engine build and engine rebuild experience.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Qualifications
- NVQ in Motor Vehicle Mechanics (or equivalent recognised qualification).
