The Operations Analyst will support the Head of Production in driving performance, efficiency, and operational excellence across the motorcycle manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for analysing production data, identifying improvement opportunities, supporting new product introduction (NPI), and ensuring robust reporting and KPI management to enable informed decision-making.
The successful candidate will act as a key link between Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering, helping translate data into practical actions that improve throughput, quality, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production performance dashboards
- Track KPIs including output, OEE, labour efficiency, takt adherence, downtime, scrap, rework, and first-time-through
- Provide clear, structured analysis and insights to the Head of Production
- Support preparation of materials for leadership reviews and company all-hands briefings
- Analyse manufacturing data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and recurring issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective action implementation
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Model capacity planning scenarios for future build volumes and new model introductions
- Support production readiness activities for new motorcycle launches
- Track build issues, rework trends, and open actions during pilot and beta builds
- Provide structured reporting on launch KPIs and risk areas
- Assist with production planning analysis to ensure alignment between build schedules and resource availability
- Support labour planning, line balancing, and productivity analysis
- Evaluate tooling and equipment utilisation to support CAPEX justifications
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment on performance metrics
- Support escalation and tracking of key operational risks
- Act as a central point for production performance data accuracy and integrity
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Analytics, or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a manufacturing or automotive/motorcycle environment preferred
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability (Power BI or similar BI tools desirable)
- Solid understanding of production KPIs (OEE, takt, throughput, yield, etc.)
- Experience supporting Lean or Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to senior stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work at pace in a fast-moving production environment
