The Role
As Norton Assets Manager, you will work closely with all areas of the business to ensure management, accounting accuracy and auditable control of all Norton owned assets. You will be responsible for all Norton owned assets including plan and machinery, vehicles, IT equipment, software, project intangibles (including supplier tooling) and fleet. You will be a “team player” who is happy to roll their sleeves up when required and support other areas when necessary, with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Fixed asset register on a month basis
- Approve asset requests in asset system, adding budget and raising approval numbers when approved
- Manage all open requests to validate if they are still applicable and work timelines
- Manage capital work in progress list – drive actions to close out to committed timelines
- Manage entire SAP process, creating assets, running depreciation and sale / disposals as required
- Lead activity to tag all assets on register, ensuring compliance with all audit and controls, including supplier tooling records
- Lead fleet management for the organisation, including company vehicles, heritage collection, marketing / event fleet, test ride fleet and dealer loan / event display fleet
- Administrate all asset movements ensuring all necessary records, logistics and insurances are up to date and auditable
Essential Skills & Experience
- Accounting qualification preferred
- Previous experience in finance
- Understanding of capitalisation cycle & fixed asset management
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Advanced user experience of SAP and Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of global logistics would be beneficial
- Automotive industry experience desirable
- On site work preferred
