The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Parts & Operations Administrator to support our Test & Development (T&D) department on a 3‑month contract. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth management of parts, logistics, and administrative processes that underpin prototype development and testing activities. You will act as a central point of coordination between Engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and laboratory heads, ensuring parts are ordered, inspected, tracked, and delivered efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Parts & Logistics Management
- Raise stock requests, credit card requests, and purchase orders in line with company procedures
- Order, retrieve, and inspect parts against engineering drawings
- Collate, maintain, and manage detailed parts lists and requirements
- Package and ship parts and prototypes domestically and internationally
- Arrange carnets and manage shipping documentation for prototype movements
- Book in and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain organised records of parts, documentation, and prototype files
- Provide general administrative support to the Test & Development function
- Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, customers, and laboratory heads regarding parts requirements and logistics
- Ensure clear communication and timely updates on part status and deliveries
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in parts management, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience viewing CAD models and comparing them to physical parts
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Desirable:
- Experience within the automotive industry
