The successful Planner will be responsible for end-to-end production planning and control across UK and India operations, ensuring alignment with customer demand and business targets. The role involves creation and management of work orders, VINs, and engine numbers, while coordinating closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial teams to deliver production plans on time.

You will also be accountable for maintaining BOM and material master data integrity in SAP, including production versions, engineering change implementation (DCNs), and ensuring seamless transition of parts with minimal obsolescence. The role supports capacity planning, order execution, and resolves SAP/MRP-related issues to enable smooth production flow.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Commit and create workorders, VINs for all the models – India & UK
  • Coordinating with key stakeholders (Supply Chain, Operations) for new models deliveries to meet the customer order commitments
  • Raising and amending production orders as per requirements, ensuring production posting completion
  • Coordinate for order processing and execution as per committed lead times
  • Handle SAP related errors / issues during production
  • Updating Build Tracker, WO Status tracker, KPI dashboards as required
  • Maintenance of current BOMS in SAP
  • Creating SAP Production Versions, MM completions & workflows for new parts & SKUs
  • Plan effectivity of any engineering changes/DCN’s to ensure that there is a seamless transition to the new part in production
  • Liaise with Stores & Supply Chain team for BOM audit and corrective actions
  • Review periodically material master data and maintain accuracy
  • Coordinate with Stores & supply chain team for BOM audit and corrective actions
  • Conduct stock analysis of non-moving items and identify disposition actions
  • Collaborate with Norton India team & SAP team to resolve issues arising in BOM, Material master, MRP and production plans
  • Plan effectivity of any engineering changes/DCN’s to ensure that there is a seamless transition to the new part in production
  • Coordinate for Capacity planning reviews for entire supply chain as per Production plan
  • Track status of DCN implementation and ensure near zero obsolescence; Implement the DCN changes in production effectively taking care of the old revisions through revision control management
  • Support in releasing yearly/monthly/plant wise production plan
  • Co-ordinate with Operations, Commercials team for production plan and execution to meet the product demand

Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, supply chain or project management
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management and change management in automotive industry
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing changes
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Expertise in SAP ERP – PP modules
  • Experience with automotive manufacturing processes, technologies, and supply chain management
