The Role

The HSE Coordinator provides hands‑on Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities support across all Norton locations and TVS UK sites.

Acting as the operational arm of the HSE Manager, the role ensures hazards are controlled, legal and ISO obligations are met, Safety Mint remains accurate, incidents are investigated appropriately, and safety and environmental standards are consistent across every site.

The role is highly visible, practical, and integral to maintaining a strong safety culture across the Norton Group.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Play an active role in the Health & Safety and Environment team, contributing to achieving company objectives
  • Collection of weekly and monthly KPI information
  • Maintaining complete and accurate Health & Safety, Environmental
  • Completion of site safety audits, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, PUWER Assessments, workplace safety inspections
  • Help Managers & Supervisors to investigate and report serious incidents to the relevant functional heads
  • Empowerment to intervene with any non-compliance.
  • Ensure corrective and preventative actions from internal and external audits are delivered on time.
  • Work with the team developing the HSE Management system (template, formatting, procedures)
  • Ensure H&S documentation is communicated to all and available on the company Safety Mint and online project filing system
  • Support the team gathering data for month end reports
  • Log HSEF toolbox talks/observation cards/inspections/RAMS
  • Personal Specification
  • Be competent, organised, disciplined and capable of working in a manufacturing/Engineering environment
  • Be able to follow and maintain working standards, procedures and processes whilst able to use their own initiative to provide key support to the management teams
  • Formal training - NEBOSH/IOSH. Exposure of BS EN ISO 14001 and ISO45001
  • Knowledge of H&S and Environmental Legislation
  • Good communication skills, an organised approach to work
  • Attention to detail
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
