The role
This individual isdriven and commercially-minded professional to join our Alternative Revenue team. This role is responsible for driving the commercial strategy and managing its day-to-day execution for Norton\’s non-motorcycle products, including motorcycle accessories, rider wear, and merchandise, across our global dealer network, events and e-commerce platform.
As a primary point of contact for our global dealer network and our international subsidiaries’ sales team, you will ensure a cohesive approach to market rollout and the successful implementation of commercial initiatives. This role requires strong project management skills to coordinate plans across internal sub-teams (Accessories, Merchandise, and e-Commerce) and other key functions like Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales. Ultimately, your focus will be on ensuring commercial goals are met and our business grows profitably.
Duties/Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Planning:
- Formulate and lead the commercial strategy for alternative revenue streams, ensuring a clear and actionable plan for all product launches and revenue initiatives
Dealer Network Engagement:
- Serve as the key commercial point of contact for our global dealer network, supporting them directly and indirectly through our internal retail team to drive strategy implementation.
- Build sales projection plans through the dealer network, implement and manage selling cadences to achieve set targets.
- Manage dealer performance, produce performance dashboards, and build sales strategies and training programs.
Sales Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Manage and align the regional sales team to deliver against revenue and margin objectives.
- Guide sales planning and execution across UK and European markets.
- Ensure strong coordination across teams and markets—sales, product, planning, and customer service.
- Follow up and track the execution of commercial plans to ensure continuous alignment.
Assortment & Distribution Planning:
- Allocate budgets across categories (e.g. apparel, footwear, accessories), gender, and seasonal collections.
- Align assortment strategies with account needs and commercial goals across regions.
- Project Management: Lead the project management of key commercial initiatives, from planning to execution, ensuring all activities are on track to meet business objectives by using company’s internal project management tool.
- Contract Management: Review and coordinate the development of commercial contracts with suppliers or collaboration partners within the Alternative Revenue team, and liaise with the legal team.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central liaison between the Alternative Revenue sub-teams (Accessories, Merchandise and E-commerce) and broader company departments (Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales) to ensure smooth execution and alignment.
- Performance Analysis: In conjunction with a commercial analyst, track, analyse, and report on commercial performance, using data to identify new opportunities and course-correct as needed.
Promotional & Markdown Strategy:
- Develop and manage promotional and markdown plans that support sell-through without compromising margin targets.
- Oversee investments in trade marketing, in-season support, and incentives in line with commercial performance.
Personal Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5years of commercial experience, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful commercial strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret business data and drive profitable growth.
- Experience in a B2B or consumer-facing industry; experience in the motorcycle or automotive sector is preferred but not essential.
- Exceptional project management, organisation, and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- A proactive, resilient, and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- A strong team player.
