We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Head of Department for Health & Social Care and Child Development to include a wider school responsibility based on the experience of the candidate. You will be leading a talented and hard-working department with a mutually supportive ethos, and an ideal mixture of youth and experience.

Our school is highly successful and oversubscribed, with EBacc entries well above the national average, and successful results for students, whether they are disadvantaged, SEND or Gifted and Talented. We value the development of the whole child, and encourage students to take part in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Outdoor education is very popular with our students, and we usually have a large proportion of Y10 participating in the Bronze DofE award, with many progressing to the higher awards. We also run a range of trips each year, both abroad and in the UK, culminating in a popular 'activities week' at the end of the year.
