Job Title: Leisure Club Manager Responsible To: General Manager / Operations Manager Responsible For: Leisure Club Assistants
Main Duties
- 1. General day to day running of the Leisure Club.
- 2. Opening up the Leisure Club on the early shift.
- 3. Closing down and locking up of the Leisure Club on the late shift.
- 4. Cleaning Leisure Club thoroughly ensuring it is germ-free.
- 5. Regularly checking chlorine and PH levels in the pool and spa and taking appropriate action as per those results.
- 6. Ensuring all Leisure Club staff are fully trained as to the Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Operating Procedures with regard to the swimming pool and spa.
- 7. Serving refreshments to customers.
- 8. Liaising with Restaurant staff in the ordering of food for customers.
- 9. Fitness testing on members including Medical Questionnaire, Blood Pressure, Body Fat, Bike Test and Pulse. 10. Cashing up after early and late shift (cash control).
- 11. First Aid.
- 2. Life Saving.
- 13. Taking memberships.
- 14. Ordering stock when needed, i. e, testing tablets, snacks etc.
- 15. Writing fitness programs for members including demonstrating and instructing.
- 16. Apply standards of Health and Safety and Hygiene and COSHH.
- 17. Minimise security risk.
- 18. Advertise and promote special offers etc.
- 19. Provide after sales service.
- 20. Be able to promote Leisure Club and answer any queries.
- 21. Forecast revenue and labour for department.
- 22. Measure performance against budget and remedy variances.
- 23. Forecast training for department.
- 24. Carry out appraisals and job chats with all staff in department.
- 25. To carry out departmental Communication meetings, submitting minutes and Health & Safety reports on a monthly basis.
- 26. To ensure training is carried out in department on an ongoing basis.
- 27. To attend all meetings and training arranged for the benefit of the department.
- 28. To ensure all staff attend training when arranged.
- 29. To implement COSHH and Risk Assessment.
- 30. To carry out any work requested by Management.
- 31. Work closely with accounts to chase members for outstanding debts
- 32. Administer a strict policy for non-paying members, denying access until debts are paid
