Norton Blake is proud to partner with a leading, highly regulated organisation looking to secure an experienced M365 Engineering Lead. This is a prestigious 12-month contract offering the opportunity to act as the technical authority for a large-scale M365 platform.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between hands-on engineering and strategic leadership. You will provide technical direction to a core End User Computing (EUC) product group, collaborate closely with a strategic DevSecOps delivery partner, and serve as a vital pillar of technical insight for internal leadership and the wider Digital & Technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction, technical insight, and hands-on engineering expertise for M365 services, with a strong focus on SharePoint and Teams channels.
- Team Guidance: Act as a leadership pillar within the DevSecOps delivery team, mentoring and leading engineers to maintain high standards.
- Partner Collaboration: Work directly alongside the client’s strategic partner to ensure seamless DevSecOps delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Translate complex, highly technical M365 concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Core Experience:
- Regulated Environments: Extensive hands-on M365 engineering and support experience within a large-scale or regulated organisation.
- Deep M365 Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and OneDrive.
- Power Platform & Governance: Strong background in Power Platform design, governance, and acting as a technical authority.
- Security & Compliance: Robust understanding of M365 security frameworks, including Conditional Access, DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, and eDiscovery.
- Automation & Delivery: Proficiency with PowerShell automation alongside practical experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Desirable Attributes:
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Insider Risk, and Advanced Compliance.
- Exposure to AI tools and Copilot for M365.
- Experience handling Line of Business (LoB) integrations.
- Relevant Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MS-102, MS-600, SC-300, PL-400).
