A good client of mine, a leading digital consultancy are working on an exciting proof of concept for a proposition aimed at unlocking a new opportunity space for one of their key clients. The POC will be a fast paced, 6-9 month engagement aimed at proving the business case to scale. We are looking for engineers who not only have solid core domain expertise but also have proven experience of:
- Working in fast paced, and changing environments
- Converting verbal or loose requirements into working software
- Able to code using an MVP mindset
- Strong business stakeholder and team relationship management
The role will be based in central London with the majority of time in office due to the nature and pace of the work. We therefore need applicants to be willing to travel into London 4 days a week.
Experience:
- Extensive experience with Next.js including features e.g. App Router, Pages Router, SSR, ISR, Middleware, and API routes
- Skilled in integrating Next.js APIs with backend services
- Strong understanding of OpenNext deployment patterns and infrastructure-as-code on AWS
- Experienced in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline or CircleCI
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern ES6+ syntax
- Hands-on with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or similar
- Experience with Contentful or other headless CMS platforms for dynamic content delivery
- Deep knowledge of feature flagging, analytics, and A/B testing frameworks for experimentation and insights
- Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end automation using Jest, Playwright, or equivalent
- Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
