Project Manager - Data Platform Implementation

Data Platform Project Manager / Contract / 12 Months / £650 Inside IR35 / Hybrid

My client are a leading consultancy, who are supporting a large Oil & Gas company on a brand new Data platform implementation.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Data Platform within the Energy sector. The role requires strong technical programme management skills, with experience in data platforms, cloud technologies, and stakeholder management. Databricks experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Data Platform implementation, ensuring successful delivery.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and business teams to align objectives.

• Oversee technical aspects, including data pipelines, governance, and security.

• Manage risks, budgets, and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless execution.

• Apply agile methodologies, driving efficiency in programme delivery.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong Project/Programme Management background in technical data platforms.

• Experience in the Energy sector (or utilities, renewables, or data-heavy industries).

• Familiarity with Databricks, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and data engineering.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Agile/Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) are a plus.
