Project Manager - Technology & Operations, 12 month FTC, London/Hybrid, £55,000 per annum

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives across one or more of the following areas: IT Operations, Software Platforms, Digital Products, Automation and AI-enabled solutions.

The role offers exposure to enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, AI products, operational transformation and digital innovation initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to broaden their experience across modern technology delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Programme Delivery

β€’ Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects from planning through to implementation and transition into BAU

β€’ Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource forecasts

β€’ Manage project scope, milestones, dependencies and deliverables

β€’ Ensure delivery aligns with agreed business outcomes and strategic objectives

β€’ Drive accountability across project teams and delivery partners

Technology & Product Delivery

β€’ Support delivery across software development, SaaS platforms, operational technology and AI-enabled products

β€’ Partner with relevant teams to translate requirements into actionable delivery plans

β€’ Apply Agile, hybrid or waterfall delivery approaches as appropriate to project objectives and team structure

β€’ Facilitate planning, prioritisation, decision making and progress tracking activities as appropriate to the delivery approach

β€’ Coordinate delivery activities required to launch new products, platforms and services into production environments

β€’ Work alongside Product Managers, Engineering, Operations and business stakeholders to ensure successful product releases

β€’ Manage launch readiness, deployment planning, communications and post-launch activities

Governance & Risk Management

β€’ Establish and maintain effective project governance structures

β€’ Monitor project budgets, forecasts and delivery KPIs

β€’ Manage RAID logs and ensure timely resolution of risks, issues and dependencies

β€’ Escalate delivery risks and decisions through appropriate governance channels

β€’ Produce clear and concise status reporting for leadership and stakeholders

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

β€’ Build strong relationships across business and technology teams

β€’ Manage communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders

β€’ Coordinate third-party vendors, implementation partners and service providers

β€’ Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed effectively throughout delivery

Operational Change & Service Transition

β€’ Support organisational readiness, change management and adoption activities

β€’ Ensure users are prepared for new technologies, processes and ways of working

β€’ Coordinate operational handover and service transition into support teams

β€’ Ensure support models, documentation and training materials are established

β€’ Drive smooth implementation with minimal operational disruption

β€’ Collaborate with Service Management and Operations teams to ensure sustainable outcomes

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

β€’ Promote best practices in project delivery and governance

β€’ Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency and process improvement

β€’ Support experimentation and delivery of emerging technologies, including AI and intelligent automation solutions

β€’ Contribute to the development of delivery frameworks and standards across the technology function

Experience & Skills Essential

β€’ Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver technology projects within complex organisational environments.

β€’ Demonstrated experience delivering technology initiatives across multiple domains, including two or more of the following: software development, SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, digital products, automation, AI-enabled solutions or technology transformation programmes.

β€’ Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks and project controls

β€’ Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities

β€’ Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

β€’ Strong risk, dependency and issue management capabilities

β€’ Experience with Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, SharePoint

β€’ Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences
