ETRM Product Owner, London / Hybrid, £120,000 per annum
You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and ongoing iteration of the products within the Trading Services capability, specifically the ETRM & Risk systems. You will drive the analysis, architecture & development as well as alignment with business stakeholders to ensure the products meet the business and market needs.
As part of the Product team, you will work to ensure that the trading products and capabilities align with the vision and strategy of the Group.
Essential functions of the job:
Product Ownership:
- Guide technical and business teams through the processes related to delivery and ownership of product software
- Act as the advocate for your products and stakeholders in cross functional change.
Roadmaps:
- Translate business strategy into a product strategy and roadmap
- Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and create forums for regular feedback, idea generation, prioritisation and support
- Collect, manage and maintain all requirements and feedback from internal and external stakeholders
- Be the recognised expert in the business on the products, markets, relevant technologies and the competition
- Represent the voice of the customer in senior level management meetings
Delivery
- Manage all products from ideation, through to delivery and ongoing iteration
- Evaluate the urgency and importance of upcoming requests, adjusting the roadmap if needed
- Oversee the production of change requirements driven from business or market requirements
- Master agile methodology of product/feature lifecycle.
- Manage, maintain, and control product backlogs.
- Understand the performance of the delivery teams supporting the product for throughput, quality and standards.
- Drive the technical teams to deliver the agreed features and objectives.
Performance
- Develop Key Performance Indicators capable of quantifying contribution/correlation between product use and client satisfaction and matter profitability.
- Monitor, report and improve product performance monthly
Skills and experience required:
- Essential: 5-10yrs+ working directly in the implementation and delivery of ETRM software
- Deep understanding of the energy trading deal lifecycle and energy markets.
- Able to demonstrate product leadership, critical thinking and the ability to take the initiative
- Able to translate business strategy into product strategy
- Prioritised and owned a product roadmap and delivery pipeline
- Able to make decisions and delegate work and responsibility quickly and effectively.
- Highly skilled at influencing and communicating with senior business stakeholders.
- Comfortable writing and owning high-level business and technical requirements
- Experience of Agile and waterfall delivery
- Experience managing a complex and multi-product / market portfolio
- Creating, tracking and meeting product KPIs
- Analysis on workloads and trends with a focus on performance, data quality and potential areas for improvement via both training and application improvements
