Financial Crime Business Analyst, 6 months, London/Hybrid, £600/day

My client, a leading professional services company are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a Financial Crime transformation programme, with an initial focus on KYC/CDD processes, case management and supporting technology.
\n
\n
Key responsibilities
\n
• Gather, document and validate business and functional requirements across Financial Crime processes.
\n
• Work with Financial Crime SMEs to understand current processes, pain points and future-state requirements.
\n
• Translate business and regulatory needs into clear requirements for technology vendors and delivery teams.
\n
• Support requirements development for RFI/RFP and vendor selection activities.
\n
• Document current and future-state processes, workflows and user journeys.
\n
• Support analysis of data, integration and migration requirements across relevant systems.
\n
• Work closely with stakeholders across Financial Crime, Operations, Technology, Architecture, Data and Procurement.
\n
• Support vendor demonstrations, requirements traceability, solution evaluation and UAT where required.
\n
• Identify dependencies, gaps, risks and areas requiring further business decisions.
\n
\n
Experience required
\n
• Approximately 5+ years’ Business Analysis experience, ideally within Financial Services.
\n
• Strong practical knowledge of Financial Crime, particularly KYC/CDD and client onboarding.
\n
• Experience gathering and documenting detailed business and functional requirements.
\n
• Experience with process mapping and translating business processes into technology requirements.
\n
• Comfortable working with both business SMEs and technical stakeholders.
\n
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
\n

Desirable
\n
• Experience implementing or selecting KYC/CLM, case management or Financial Crime technology platforms.
\n
• Experience supporting an RFI/RFP or vendor selection process.
\n
• Understanding of screening, ongoing monitoring, transaction monitoring, payment monitoring, eID&V and associated Financial Crime data.
\n
• Experience working on Financial Crime transformation or remediation programmes.
\n
