UX Designer
Contract | Inside Ir35 | Financial services | Start ASAP | £425+
We are looking for a UX Designer to work on the redesign of a desktop platform used by customer service agents at a major financial services organisation.
The platform brings several applications and sources of information into a single, widget-based interface. The client now needs a designer to assess the work completed so far, challenge the current approach and shape a more effective experience for agents handling customer enquiries.
The role
- Review the existing proof of concept and identify where the user experience can be improved.
- Redesign complex agent workflows across multiple applications and widgets.
- Make clear decisions about information hierarchy, navigation and how agents move between tasks.
- Present and defend design recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to take the design forward.
What we're looking for
- Solid experience in UX - ideally with experience designing complex desktop applications, dashboards or internal enterprise tools.
- A portfolio showing your own contribution to interaction design and desktop applications, dashboards
- The confidence to critique existing designs and propose a clear alternative.
- Strong stakeholder communication and the ability to work independently.
This is a hands-on design role requiring someone who can bring an independent perspective and make an immediate contribution. Candidates must be able to complete background checks before starting.
