GCP Cloud Architect
London - Hybrid
Circa £600-£650+ per day - Inside IR35

I'm currently recruiting for an AI / GCP Cloud Architect to help design and deliver cloud platforms that support AI and Generative AI applications. The role combines architecture ownership with hands-on technical input, working closely with engineering, data and security teams to take solutions from initial design through to production.
Key responsibilities:
- Design scalable, secure and resilient solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Define architectures for AI applications, covering model integration, data flows, APIs and supporting infrastructure.
- Guide the deployment of AI workloads, considering performance, reliability, monitoring and cost.
- Establish architectural standards across security, IAM, networking and cloud governance.
- Support engineering teams with technical decisions, design reviews and implementation challenges.
- Translate business requirements into clear solution designs and communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
We're looking for experience across:
- GCP architecture, including cloud infrastructure, networking, IAM and security.
- AI and Generative AI solutions, including Vertex AI, LLM integration and production deployment.
- Designing scalable architectures for data platforms, APIs and AI workloads.
- Infrastructure as code, CI/CD and cloud governance.
- Working with engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- This would suit a hands-on architect who combines strong GCP expertise with practical experience delivering AI solutions.
