Job Opportunity
- Responsible for plant and equipment associated with Winder, Packaging Line and Core maker.
- To operate the winder and core winder ensuring efficient operation with minimum wastage in accordance with customer specifications and the Paper Machine output.
- To ensure that all areas of the site are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping.
- To assist where necessary to help maintain the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the Mill in a professional and constructive manner.
- Assist goods inwards with the loading and unloading of goods as and when needed.
As a Production Operative you'll be responsible for running high-speed machinery safely, efficiently, and effectively. This includes performing quality and safety checks, troubleshooting issues, and making adjustments as needed. The main focus of this role is teamwork, safety, and working to high standards.
Production Operative Duties
- Operating and monitoring machinery to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Conducting regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Undertaking routine maintenance and cleaning of the machinery.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials.
- Adhering to quality, health, and safety procedures and regulations.
- Keeping accurate records of production output and downtime and working as a team to reach output targets.
- Carrying out pre-use machinery checks, identifying any issues or faults.
