We are looking for 2 Days Based Engineers for our Telford site to complement our existing Engineering team. You will play a vital part in supporting the business and engineering department in both facility works and maintenance activities. The Engineer positions are a full-time role based in Telford, working 41.5 hours per week following a rotating days shift pattern.
About the Role
As the Days Engineer your responsibilities include:
- Support the department with maintenance activities - PPM & Corrective work
- Support in machine issue rectification
- Support in LOLER & PUWER compliance activities; including crane servicing and statutory inspections
- General repairs to buildings including lighting, drains and toilets
- Responsible for all Telford properties
- Contractor management including Permit to Work
- Provide solutions at best value for the business
Essential Skills
- You will be a qualified craftsperson with certification (ONC/HNC/HND - Mech, Elec, multi-skilled), experience working in a maintenance environment and managing contractors.
- CMMS experience - working to PPM cycles and maintaining schedule adherence.
- Prior experience working in an FMCG environment.
- Previous experience in equipment specification, diagnostics, systems integration and maintenance coordination.
- Interpersonal skills to adapt to a diverse group of employees, customers and suppliers.
- MEWP experience preferable.
