About the Employer: Northwood Tissue Disley Ltd is part of the Northwood group. We make and sell tissue products.

What You'll Do: This manufacturing apprentice role will enable you to learn the skills required to assist the production department, resources, and systems to ensure the company maintains a high-quality product, always in line with company policies, regulatory standards, and statutory guidelines/deadlines. At the end of the 3-year apprenticeship with the training provided and qualifications achieved, we expect that you will become fully competent in being a manufacturing operative and be able to complete the following duties:

  • Set up different machines
  • Run the machine to create a pulp that will be used to produce paper
  • Complete quality and productivity checks
  • Undertake routine maintenance whilst maintaining safety and reliability standards and working as part of a team

Training Outcome: This apprenticeship and qualification could lead to you becoming a senior production operative or trainee team leader.

Working Arrangements: Working Week: Monday to Wednesday, 7.00am - 3.30pm. Thursday - Friday, 7.00am - 3.00pm. At some point during your apprenticeship, you may be expected to work on shifts (6.00am - 6.00pm or 6.00pm - 6.00am). Expected Duration: 3 Years. Training Provider: HCF CATCH LIMITED.
