Do you want to join a leading UK manufacturer of away-from-home paper hygiene products based on Stafford Park, Telford? We are looking for a permanent Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer to join our growing and highly skilled Engineering team.
As the Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer, you will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a high tempo engineering environment, rotating 06:00/18:00 - 18:00/06:00 based at our Telford site.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will ensure that the facilities, equipment and machinery are effectively and efficiently maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures to promote process stability and capability.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, systems, processes and procedures to improve equipment reliability.
- Identify equipment issues and advise on work needed and opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot equipment/process problems to root cause in conjunction with team members to ensure rapid resolution of problems and ensure team members learn from the experience.
- Involved in carrying out Criticality/Obsolescence assessments and implementing action plans.
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualified in both mechanical and electrical multi-skilled disciplines.
- Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
- Ability to read complex electrical and engineering drawings.
Desirable
- HND/Degree qualified Electrical Engineer.
- Good IT skills - MS Office.
- Able to understand and change ladder logic.
- Able to write PLC programs.
- Experience in software/hardware integration.
- Any maintenance engineer from a manufacturing environment welcome: FMCG, Food, plastic, packaging, distribution, automotive, metals, Forces etc.
