Overview: Sustaining and improving equipment reliability and efficiency, you’ll help create innovative maintenance systems, supporting the development of performance measures and yearly maintenance plans.
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 2 days from 6am to 6pm, 2 nights from 6pm to 6am, 4 days off shift.
What you’ll get involved in:
- PPM maintenance programs
- Commissioning new projects
- Utilising planning tools and CMMS systems to organise weekly tasks and improvement projects.
- Ensuring accurate reporting and documentation of all maintenance activities.
- Supporting cross-skilling initiatives, expanding our Operators’ skillset, e.g. lubrication, changeovers, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Managing spare parts and purchasing systems, conducting criticality and obsolescence assessments.
- Using improvement tools such as 5S, TPM, Asset Management and Kaizen.
- Preparing weekly/monthly performance reports.

Job Requirements: What you’ll bring to Northwood:
- Growth mindset with proactive thinking style
- NVQ Level 4/HNC In Electrical Maintenance (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification, or alternatively, completion of a fully indentured multi-discipline apprenticeship (Mechanical and electrical)
- Advanced PLC fault finding and problem solving skills
