Job Details Job Location : Saint Albans, VT Position Type : Full Time Salary Range : Undisclosed Description Be part of an exciting initiative at Northwestern Counseling & Support Services, Inc. (NCSS) to help integrate mental health support within law enforcement as a Mental Health Crisis Specialist. You will have the opportunity to respond alongside law enforcement officers when individuals are in crisis. We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and relevant clinical experience to work closely with the Vermont State Police. Key Responsibilities: Supporting individuals with a variety of mental health challenges or those who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Connecting with a variety of people needing support to help navigate various systems of care. Coordinating with other community providers, provide supportive counseling, and track data related to co-responses with law enforcement. Covering non-traditional hours, primarily evenings and some weekends would be required. This position works closely with our NCSS Emergency Services Team, as well as other teams across our agency and offers excellent benefits, a flexible work schedule, and supervision towards licensure.
