- Compensation: $22.07 – $26.39 per hour (DOE)

- FTE: 0.9375 (37.5 hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Prepare instructional materials under the direction of a licensed teacher.
- Provide instruction to individuals and small groups of students, focusing on IEP and IFSP objectives.
- Assist the teacher in planning and grading students' assignments.
- Record and maintain required data and paperwork for the licensed teacher.
- Support students with restroom, safety, and behavioral needs during class, recess, and bus activities.
- Maintain student safety, monitor behaviour, and complete accurate incident reports.
- Participate in restraint training as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and classroom activities.
- Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
- Perform additional duties as assigned (e.g., washing clothing, dishes; sanitising classroom items; arranging furniture).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Physical ability to lift a student from a wheelchair to a floor and onto/off a changing table.
- Child Care Central Background Registry Clearance.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- CPR certification and blood‑borne pathogen instruction.
- Computer skills including email, internet applications, Google Suite, and MS Word.
