JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial landscape vehicles and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school Diploma or GED
- Experience: One to three years general fleet and equipment maintenance and repair experience
- License or Certification: Valid driver license issued by the state where employed, with a record in good standing
- Specialized Skills: Knowledge of mowing and landscape equipment, knowledge of small engine and two cycle engine repair, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner, beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook, has own tools, basic mathematical skills, ability to read, write and comprehend English, ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk
- Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus
- Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and seldom lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds
- Frequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balance
Work Conditions
- Frequently works with mechanical objects and frequently outside in all weather conditions
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Frequently exposed to loud noise levels
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Routine maintenance of commercial landscape equipment
- Diagnostic troubleshooting and repair
- Effectively communicate shop needs/concerns with management personnel
- Abide by company guidelines and safety policies
