Primary Responsibilities:- Install in-ground and container colour displays in accordance with specifications and quality standards, changing plantings seasonally (three times a year).
- Perform post-installation clean-up.
- Clipping, shaping, and pruning exterior plants to remove unsightly or dead spots.
- Watering and fertilising.
- Monitoring for pests and treating when applicable.
- Cleaning of plant containers and surrounding areas after each service.
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least one year of commercial landscape or nursery experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of annuals, perennials, and regional ornamental plants, and approved horticultural and landscape management practices.
- Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment and tools.
- Working knowledge of proper pruning techniques while taking into account the plant material and season.
- Working knowledge of herbicide applications and relevant practices.
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisor.
- Ability to frequently pull, push, and lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Regular, on-time attendance.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
