If you have excellent reception and administrative skills, then you are the person we are looking for! We are a well-established GP practice located in Sedgley, Dudley, proudly serving a population of over 8,250 patients. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and continuously improving our services. We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and organised individual to join our reception and admin team, covering for maternity leave.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in providing friendly and efficient service both face-to-face and over the phone, as well as supporting our back office administration team.

Responsibilities:
- To work in accordance with written protocols
- Carry out general reception duties
- Take accurate messages and deal with them promptly and appropriately
- Make appointments/cancel appointments/book in patients using EMIS Web clinical system
- Liaise with outside agencies and other healthcare professionals whilst maintaining confidentiality
- Scanning documents into patient records (Emis clinical system)
- Respond and send emails regarding patient care
- Assist in the process for request of Patient medical records
- Provide admin support as required
- Record information accurately
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail
- Receive deliveries of stock and stationery and take appropriate action
- Receiving patients consulting with members of Practice team
- Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address
- Be able to cover all reception positions as necessary
- Process appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients by telephone and in person
- Deal with visits requests
- Process patients' change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice area)
- Process a request for repeat prescription request in accordance with Practice guidelines
- Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm

We are a friendly 3 Partner practice, supported by Practice Nurse, Assistant Practitioner, paramedics, practice-based pharmacists caring for a practice population of over 8250. High achieving results for Dudley QOF targets and locally commissioned incentives schemes. We actively accommodate and train Medical Students, FY2, GPST and work collaboratively with our PCN partners. Rated GOOD by the CQC.
Qualifications:
- NVQ level 2 in Business Admin
- NVQ level 3 in Business Admin
- Medical Terminology Training
Experience:
Recent working experience in a busy General Practice setting or front-facing administrative work in a Healthcare setting.
