Northwall Capital is seeking an experienced CLO Operations Manager to play a key role in the launch and ongoing management of the firm’s CLO platform. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a growing CLO franchise and help build the operational infrastructure, governance framework and scalable operating model supporting Northwall Capital’s inaugural CLO transaction and future issuance programme.

Working closely with Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance and external service providers, the successful candidate will take ownership of critical operational processes across the CLO lifecycle, from warehouse management and transaction execution through reinvestment, compliance monitoring, cashflow administration, refinancings, resets and ongoing portfolio operations. The role is ideally suited to a highly motivated professional with direct CLO experience gained on the buy-side and/or sell-side who is looking to take on broad responsibility, significant autonomy and direct exposure to senior decision makers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CLO Platform Development & Transaction Execution
    • Support the operational launch of Northwall Capital’s inaugural CLO transaction.
    • Build and enhance scalable operational processes, controls and governance frameworks.
    • Coordinate transaction execution workstreams across internal stakeholders and external service providers.
    • Support warehouse management and asset migration into CLO vehicles.
    • Contribute to future CLO issuance planning and platform expansion.
  • CLO Operations & Portfolio Support
    • Oversee operational workflows relating to leveraged loan settlements, asset onboarding, cash management and reconciliations.
    • Support reinvestment-period trading activity and portfolio maintenance.
    • Manage loan lifecycle events including amendments, restructurings, refinancings, repayments and corporate actions.
    • Coordinate with trustees, collateral administrators, counterparties and custodians to resolve operational issues.
  • Cashflow, Waterfalls & Compliance
    • Review trustee reporting and validate payment waterfalls, noteholder distributions and cashflow calculations.
    • Monitor collateral quality tests, OC/IC coverage tests, concentration limits and portfolio compliance requirements.
    • Investigate and resolve cashflow, reporting and reconciliation exceptions.
    • Support management of transaction triggers, diversion mechanics and structural compliance requirements.
  • Transaction Lifecycle Management
    • Support refinancing, reset and optional redemption transactions.
    • Monitor reinvestment period capacity and key transaction milestones.
    • Assist with post-reinvestment portfolio management and long-term transaction administration.
    • Ensure compliance with transaction documentation and servicing requirements throughout the CLO lifecycle.
  • Technology, Data & AI
    • Drive continuous improvement across operational processes and workflows.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, workflow technologies and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, controls and scalability.
    • Partner with internal teams to develop data-driven reporting and operational analytics capabilities.
    • Support the implementation of technology solutions that enhance the firm’s CLO operating platform.
    • Champion Northwall Capital’s commitment to innovation and responsible adoption of AI across business processes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Experience
    • 5–8 years of relevant experience within CLO operations, structured finance, leveraged loan operations, structured credit middle office or related functions.
    • Experience gained on the buy-side and/or sell-side of the CLO market is required.
    • Strong understanding of CLO structures, transaction documentation and market participants.
    • Exposure to refinancing, reset or other liability management transactions is advantageous.
