NorthWall Capital is hiring CLO Analysts (Senior Associate / Junior VP level) to join our growing credit platform in London. This is a rare opportunity to join at the inception of a new CLO platform within an established alternative investment manager focused on European credit and asset-backed strategies. The role offers broad exposure across investing, portfolio management, structuring, and platform development, with direct interaction with senior leadership from day one.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and broader investment team in supporting the launch and ongoing management of NorthWall’s CLO business. This is a highly analytical and hands-on role suited to someone looking to broaden their responsibility within an entrepreneurial investment environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed fundamental credit analysis on leveraged loan issuers across a range of sectors, including financial modelling, liquidity analysis, covenant review, and downside assessment.
- Evaluating primary and secondary market investment opportunities through relative value analysis, market monitoring, and risk/reward assessment.
- Preparing investment memoranda, issuer updates, sector research, and portfolio commentary to support investment committee discussions and decision-making.
- Monitoring existing portfolio positions and proactively identifying emerging risks, catalysts, and trading opportunities across leveraged finance markets.
- Supporting CLO portfolio construction and optimisation activities, including collateral selection, concentration management, and portfolio risk analysis.
- Monitoring compliance tests, collateral quality metrics, WARF/WAS calculations, and other key CLO performance indicators.
- Assisting with warehouse management, including ramp-up strategy, mark-to-market monitoring, advance rate management, and interaction with financing counterparties.
- Supporting scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate portfolio resilience under different market and macroeconomic conditions.
- Working closely with trustees, administrators, legal counsel, and rating agencies on ongoing transaction management and reporting requirements.
- Assisting with the manager approval and diligence process with rating agencies including preparation of materials, portfolio data analysis, and operational due diligence responses.
- Contributing to the build-out of the CLO platform’s infrastructure, including analytical tools, portfolio monitoring systems, compliance frameworks, and reporting processes.
- Supporting the implementation and integration of CLO analytics systems such as Intex, Trepp, or equivalent platforms.
- Assisting in the development of scalable operational procedures and controls as the platform grows.
- Supporting investor reporting, fundraising materials, and broader strategic initiatives relating to the growth of the CLO business.
Candidate Profile
