About the role
We have an excellent opportunity to become one of our Finance Business Partners who will work within our Asset Management directorate creating a real and active partnership with operations and management. You’ll be providing ‘real‑time’ high‑quality support, analysis, and challenge, along with being a trusted advisor that is seen to ‘add value’ that will assist decision making. You’ll be partnering with the business to provide insightful financial information to enable decision making, identification of new opportunities to unlock value and monitor emerging risks with mitigating actions, along with developing and leading financial and commercial awareness across the business. You’ll support the business in the preparation of business cases ensuring all costs are captured and value of the change is understood. Monitor and report performance of changes and undertake post‑implementation reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret financial information to identify and highlight key financial opportunities and risks, and when there are areas of concern, propose actions to resolve or mitigate, engage across the business, and appropriately escalates.
- Lead the annual budget process for designated areas, work with budget holders to ensure that their budget submissions reflect their strategic plans, and that the information submitted is on time, accurate, and consistent.
- Undertake financial performance reviews, maintain an ongoing forecast and lead month‑end management accounting processes to identify and track risks and opportunities, and updating any changes.
- Build professional and effective relationships across the business; own stakeholder relationships and be the first point of contact for analysis and support.
- Support the Senior FBP in developing and implementing new finance processes and procedures as required by business or regulatory changes.
About you
We’re looking for the successful candidate to have proven experience in a fast‑paced, complex financial organisation delivering on‑time, accurate results and analysis, and working to tight deadlines. You should have proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and be a qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA). You’ll have proven and vast experience of analysing and interpreting financial information within a business context to support decision‑making that drives value. You should be commercially astute, with excellent interpretation and judgement skills, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel. You’ll have proven experience of constructively challenging, influencing, and persuading business colleagues, and the capability to develop relationships and gain credibility with stakeholders. You’ll be a skilled ‘resource investigator’, bringing in external ideas and expertise, with a track record in identifying and delivering efficiencies. Strong financial awareness and capability, and a high level of business curiosity and engagement is key.

- DBS to be completed prior to employment.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
