About the role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join us on a permanent basis as an Assistant Finance Business Partner. In this role you will work closely with designated business areas, providing high‑quality month‑end reporting, insightful analysis and robust financial support that directly informs operational and strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver month‑end processes, variance analysis and recommendations that drive performance improvement.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, and provide scenario modelling to support long‑term planning.
  • Support the development of business cases, assess financial viability, and evaluate outcomes through post‑implementation reviews.
  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, while driving continuous improvement in reporting, modelling and dashboards to enhance business performance visibility.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for cost efficiencies and process optimisation.

Qualifications & experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or nearly qualified or qualified through relevant experience.
  • Proven experience operating in a fast‑paced, complex finance environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information, solve problems, and provide clear, actionable insight.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, influencing decision making, and supporting change across the business.
  • Excellent communication, data interpretation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Will need to complete a DBS check prior to employment.
