Applications are invited for a 12-month fixed-term, full-time lectureship in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Northumbria University. The successful candidate will contribute to a range of teaching and module leadership across the BA(Hons) Geography programme (including the foundation year), as well as the two MSc programmes in Global Development and Disaster Management and Sustainable Development . We would particularly encourage applications from candidates with demonstrable experience of teaching sustainable development/geographies of development at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in addition to economic geographies, tutorials and residential field courses at undergraduate level. About The Team This post is in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences , which was ranked 2 nd for research power in the UK’s 2021 Research Evaluation Framework (REF). The successful candidate will be embedded in a vibrant research environment, which includes the Centre for Global Development and the Social and Cultural Geographies Research Group. About You Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Human Geography, or a related discipline, and have experience of teaching in Human Geography at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Experience of designing, delivering, and assessing high quality teaching and learning practice is essential.
