ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be the direct link between Northumbria University and schools and colleges primarily within the North West region. Your role will involve delivering engaging workshops, presentations and activities to students, promoting Northumbria and encouraging applications from high-quality students from diverse backgrounds. You'll represent the University at Higher Education exhibitions, work with coordinators to develop and deliver recruitment and widening participation events, and proactively build relationships with schools and colleges through phone, email and face-to-face contact. You'll work towards specific regional targets for outreach sessions and use data and intelligence to inform recruitment strategies. You will be based in a North West postcode but the role will be home based.
This is a fixed term role until June 30th 2028. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 therefore the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

You'll be joining the Student Recruitment team within Marketing, a collaborative and dynamic team dedicated to attracting talented students to Northumbria University. You'll be part of a supportive environment that values innovation, teamwork, and making a genuine impact on students' educational journeys.
ABOUT YOU
- An Honours degree or equivalent
- You must live in a North West postcode
- Great organisation skills
- Experience of working with young people, or evidence of an interest in doing so
- Experience in customer service and/or managing relationships
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and workshops to varied audiences
- Strong organisational, planning and administrative skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
- A current full UK driving licence, with competence and willingness to drive long distances, including evenings and weekends
- A DBS check is required for this role.
- Flexible working is required as you will be working some evenings and weekends at events or travelling
