Salary: Band 4, £27,204 – £27,513 (Northumbria Police policy to appoint at the beginning of the band)
Location: North Tyneside & Northumberland
Hours/Contract: Permanent, Full Time

This role will be working 37 hours, 6am-2pm Monday to Friday, predominantly based at Middle Engine Lane, Wallsend, and covering various locations across North Tyneside and Northumberland (Vehicle provided).

What you’ll do

  • Manage your team by mentoring and supporting them to ensure they achieve the required standards and performance.
  • Carry out regular audits and inspections to check the quality of cleaning is satisfactory.
  • Train and coach your team to deliver excellent work.
  • Plan and organise resourcing of your team.
  • Implement and manage the attendance management procedure.
  • Carry out stock audits.
  • Recruitment and selection of new employees.
  • Liaise with management to deliver an exceptional service to the force.

What you’ll bring

  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • A full manual driving licence (vehicle provided).
  • Experience of resourcing and planning work schedules.
  • The ability to problem‑solve quickly.
  • Strong team working skills.
  • Strong ability to work with a diverse range of people.
  • Knowledge of cleaning health and safety and COSHH.

Terms of appointment

  • This is a permanent role subject to a six‑month probationary period. During probation, you will be unable to apply for any other post advertised internally or externally.

  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a Recruitment Vetting (RV) form and must be a resident of the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
