What is a Special Constable?

Special Constables are dedicated volunteer police officers with the same powers, uniform and responsibilities as regular officers. They dedicate their time to contribute to the wellbeing and safety of their community, working alongside regular officers and community partners to tackle crime, support victims and maintain public order - all while gaining hands-on experience in policing.
