Northumbria Police is looking for a Mobile Cleaner to support the Business Services team by keeping our operational police stations clean, safe and functional. The role requires working behind the scenes within the police station environment, using specialist equipment and chemicals, as well as a willingness to learn and work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Use specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens.
- Vacuum and mop floors.
- Operate floor machines such as scrubbers and dryers.
- Empty bins and perform general cleaning duties.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation and comply with cleaning safety standards.
- Perform physical tasks, including working at height.
Requirements
- A full manual driving licence is essential; a fleet vehicle will be provided for travel to and from the base of work.
- Reasonable level of fitness and ability to work physically demanding tasks.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years (required for vetting clearance).
