Northumbria Police is looking for a MOSOVO Investigative Support Officer to join our Safeguarding Department. The role involves providing vital investigative and administrative support within a multi‑agency environment, working in line with national MAPPA guidance to manage and safeguard high‑risk offenders. The successful candidate will handle sensitive information with professionalism, maintain confidentiality, and support the delivery of public protection arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate MAPPA and related meetings, including scheduling, minute taking and action tracking, while handling highly sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
  • Research, prepare and share information to support multi‑agency safeguarding decisions and effective risk management.
  • Gather, analyse and present intelligence from multiple systems to produce reports and visual information (e.g. genograms), highlighting risks to support decision making.
  • Maintain accurate records and data (including VISOR), provide performance information, and support continuous improvement activity.
  • Respond proactively to information requests from internal teams and partner agencies, ensuring effective information sharing in line with MAPPA processes.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grades A‑C / Level 4‑9) or equivalent.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive problem solver, able to identify and manage risk using initiative.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive and innovative approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
