The predicted salary is between 27204 - 27513 £ per year.
Salary: Band 4, £27,204 - £27,513 FTE (Please note it is Northumbria Police policy to appoint at the beginning of the band).
Pro rata salary for 21 hours per week (0.57 FTE): £15,441 - £15,616 per annum.
Hours/Contract: 21 hours per week (0.57 FTE), 12 Month Fixed Term Contract/Internal Secondment (Maternity Cover).
Additional Requirement: The successful candidate will be required to work occasional Saturdays on a rota basis, for which an additional payment will be made.

You will play a vital role in bringing offenders to justice through your work preparing and managing case files, ensuring accurate and timely information is shared between Northumbria Police, the Crown Prosecution Service and HM Courts & Tribunals Service.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll support the progression of criminal cases from charge through to court, maintaining high standards of accuracy, responding to enquiries from a range of stakeholders, and helping to ensure justice processes run smoothly and efficiently.

- What you’ll do
- Prepare and quality check charge files, postal requisitions and court documentation to support criminal cases from charge through to court proceedings.
- Input, update and retrieve information from a range of police and criminal justice systems, ensuring data is accurate, up to date and processed within required deadlines.
- Manage case information received from internal and external partners, ensuring all evidential and court files are maintained to a high standard and progressed efficiently.
- Act as a point of contact for colleagues, the Crown Prosecution Service, HM Courts & Tribunals Service and other stakeholders, providing timely information and resolving enquiries professionally.
- Support the effective operation of the team by maintaining records and performance data, assisting with remand hearing preparation, and contributing to improvements in processes and procedures.

- What you’ll bring
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating effectively across a range of functions to achieve shared objectives.
- GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) or relevant experience, with the ability to apply knowledge and skills in a busy administrative environment.
- Proven experience of working in a complex, fast-paced setting, successfully meeting deadlines, performance targets and service standards.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work within established procedures and deliver accurate work to defined standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review information, identify discrepancies and ensure work is completed accurately and within required timescales.
