The role

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Communications and Engagement Department as a Digital Content Creator.
As a Digital Content Creator, your goal will be to engage potential new recruits into policing and improve wider perceptions of our police force through our digital channels. You’ll produce reels, stories and editorial to keep channels fresh and engaging. You’ll be a natural storyteller, with the nous to seek out a compelling social story. You’ll have a natural flair for crafting content across photography, videography, copy and graphics.
What you’ll do
- Create engaging social-first written posts, stories and video content
- Working within strategic parameters, you’ll devise your own ideas for content
- Film, edit and produce visual content for social channels, primarily Instagram and Linkedin, with a possible expansion to Youtube
- Keep up to date with algorithms, trends and viral formats
- Collaborate with the team on planning, storyboarding and scripts
- Brief and give direction to stakeholders
- Report content analytics to Senior Digital Advisor
- Support community management efforts in line with our brand tone of voice
- Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to.
What you’ll bring
- Hands on experience of production and editing, using Edits, Adobe Premiere Pro or other tools
- Ability to storyboard for social channels
- Able to work independently
- Interest in digital content and familiarity with platform best practices
- Can demonstrate a strong portfolio of content creation in a professional setting.
