Salary: Band 6, £17,433 – £18,778 Pro Rata (£29,055 – £31,296 Per Annum)

Location: Agile, between home and Middle Engine Lane

Hours/Contract: Permanent, 22.2 hours per week, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

The role

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Safeguarding Departments as MOSOVO Investigative Support Officer.

Managing offenders who pose the greatest risk plays a significant part of keeping our communities safe is the job of our MOSOVO (Management of Violent and Sexual Offenders) Department.

Working closely with the Probation Service, they’re a multi-agency team of specialists who closely monitor offenders who are living back in society, ensuring they are posing no risk or harm to others.

We’re looking to recruit a Support Officer to provide admin assistance to the MOSOVO team. You’ll be dealing with all aspects of support – from researching police intelligence systems, preparing reports to preparing briefings, arranging meetings and minute taking.

What you’ll do

  • You will deliver a high level of administrative support and work as part of a cohesive team within MOSOVO.
  • Using your written communication skills to prepare Police reports in advance of MAPPA meetings.
  • Contribute to the compilation of intelligence products and briefings.
  • Provide secretariat support, this includes the arrangement of meetings, minute taking and ensuring participants are prepared in advance of meetings.
  • Liaise with partners and agencies across the North East and other force areas to support functions across the department.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in research is preferable as you will need to interrogate Police intelligence systems to collate information.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to deliver high quality service to our internal and external partners.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel skills is essential.
  • Experience of minute taking is desirable.

Terms of appointment

This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
