- Interrogate crime and prosecution records relating to the LTR evidential property and assets to determine whether physical property must be held or a digital image could be taken and the property disposed of.
- Provide expert, supportive and timely advice and guidance to frontline practitioners, supervisors and managers regarding long‑term retention of evidential property.
- Ensure continued awareness among practitioners and other key internal and external stakeholders of the importance and significance of retaining the best evidence appropriate to the circumstances.
- Ensure that Northumbria Police Policies and Procedures on the Retention and Disposal of Long‑Term Evidential Property and multiple exhibit assets are constantly upheld, utilised and compliant with statutory instructions, national and departmental guidance.

- A good level of general education including English, or equivalent experience, training or professional accreditation.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn bespoke systems.
- Exemplary integrity and discretion due to the sensitive nature of the information accessed via force and national systems.
- Personal responsibility for addressing problems and achieving results to the required standard.

- Ability to work to deadlines and support other team members in achieving department targets.
