Overview
The Security department at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital provides a variety of services to patients and departments, including maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, delivering a high quality, efficient customer‑orientated Security service, and complying with the Trust Patient Confidentiality Policy. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The successful applicant will provide a comprehensive Security service to all wards and departments on site, be flexible in approach to work and undertake other duties assigned under the role. The post involves providing security for the hospital and grounds, protecting people and property, detecting and preventing crime, and managing the Trust’s car parks (dealing with illegally parked vehicles and ensuring safe access and egress from site). This post is to work on a rolling rota, 12 hour shifts with a 1 hour unpaid break.
Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive Security service to all wards and departments on site.
- Be flexible in approach to work and undertake other duties as assigned under the role.
- Provide security for the hospital and grounds, protect people and property, and detect and prevent crime.
- Manage the Trust’s car parks, including dealing with illegally parked vehicles and ensuring safe access and egress from site.
- Work on a rolling rota with 12 hour shifts and a 1 hour unpaid break.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
